  1. The Spirit
    • Overall Theme: The Interconnected Systems of Creation
    • Yearlong Question: “How does the structural integration of the natural world demonstrate an underlying, purposeful design?”
    • Visual Anchor/Icon: The Scholar’s Magnifying Glass or Microscope
  1. The Journey
    • Course Description:
This course serves as the foundational bridge into upper-level learning by introducing students to the broad spectrum of the physical sciences utilizing the premium Apologia curriculum. In this track, ‘Architectural Logic’ does not refer to a formal course in symbolic logic, but rather a rigorous exploration of the orderly, mathematical, and predictable blueprint of creation. Students will learn to think like true natural philosophers by mastering the scientific method, analyzing experimental data, and learning how to distinguish between scientific theory and absolute truth. This course prepares exiting students to completely dominate their high-school level experimental and lab writing requirements.

    • Major Topics Covered: The History of Science, The Scientific Method and Experimental Design, Data Analysis and Graphing, Astronomy, Meteorology, Oceanography, Earth Science and Geology, Life Science, and General Human Anatomy.
  1. The Library
    • Required Textbook: Exploring Creation with General Science, 3rd Edition (Apologia)
    • Required Lab Kit:
  1. The A.S.K.:
    • A – Admire the Design: Explore the invisible laws of nature that provide order and stability to our physical world.
    • S – Systematically Investigate: Master the formal lab report, testing hypotheses through rigorous hands-on experimentation.
    • K – Knowledge for Stewardship: Distinguish between scientific theory and absolute truth to make wise, informed decisions as a “Creation-Explorer.”
